About this Series
The Legacy Theater is pleased to announce the 2026-27 Inspiring Imaginations Series! This free series continues our commitment to provide field trip presentations during the school year as well as interactive experiences for youth performers. All titles showcase professional nationally touring artists.
Our school series highlights an ongoing tradition of incorporating topics relevant for pre-K to 12th grade curriculum into our presentation schedule. This year, we have scheduled shows that focus on classic literature, history, music education, arts appreciation, and personal development.

Performances complement classroom curriculum with creative and imaginative learning, critical thinking opportunities, and live performance experiences. Study guides for some performances will be available to integrate performance topics into classroom activities.
The Inspiring Imaginations field trip program serves public, private, homeschool, and accredited preschool and daycare groups with students in grades kindergarten and older. Most performances are approximately 60 minutes in length and may include a question-and-answer period. Online reservation request forms are available now using the buttons above.
Tickets are not issued for these performances. Seat requests are only accepted through submission of a Google reservation form. The series is free admission, but reservations are required and accepted on a first come, first served basis.
The Inspiring Imaginations Series for Schools is made possible, in part, by Ramsey Financial Services, with additional support provided by the Illinois Arts Council, Tracy Family Foundation, United Way of the Great River Region, the Samantha Otte Youth Fund, The Eichacker Lofton Grant Fund, Community Foundation of West Central Illinois and Northeastern Missouri, Quincy Medical Group Foundation, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
